10 Jan Who can provide an EICR?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report – or EICR Test – is an in-depth inspection of the electrical systems at your home, place of work or public premises.
Periodic EICR test and inspection should only be carried out by electrically competent, qualified electricians.
At Able Electric Testing we go even further by making sure all our testers are trained to City & Guilds 2395 Inspection and Testing level. This additional specialist qualification is designed specifically for the periodic testing and inspection of electrical installations, which means we only send experts to each job.
As well as being proficient in every area of the Electrical Installation Condition Report process, our specialist testing engineers are fully aware of all the rules and regulations applicable to your property or business. As the law is changing all the time, we make sure our testers remain up-to-date with all the relevant legislation to ensure that, ultimately, you remain fully compliant.
As part of the testing, engineers will check the condition of the electrics against the UK standard for the safety of electrical installations – BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations).
Having expert, knowledgeable staff to carry out your inspection also means you will get a detailed run-down of the test findings, as well as a straight-forward appraisal of any remedial work needed and your options for getting the work done.
We can carry out any remedial work for you, but you are under no obligation to EICR Testing on that basis.
Once your electrical system has passed the inspection fully and any urgent remedial work has been completed, you will be provided with a certificate of safety, giving you peace of mind that your electrics are safe.
